i wanted to see if baby c would go to sleep on his own in his crib.

he had fallen asleep after eating. 

i woke him up to burp him and he was happy, but i could tell he was still tired.

so i put him in the crib, turned on the sound machine and monitor, and left.

after a few minutes his coos turned into cries.

i know there are theories about letting babies cry it out, 

but i don't think he's old enough for that.

my studies and intuition tell me that newborns need to eat when they are hungry

and be soothed to sleep.

anyways, i went and grabbed him, and this smile was one of many he gave me as a reward.
