german pancakes The recipe: 6 eggs 1 c. flour 1 c. milk 1/2 tsp. salt butter Preheat oven to 425*. Melt a couple tablespoons butter in a 9x13 pan or equivalent in your warming oven. Meanwhile beat all other ingredients together. Pour mixture into buttered pan. Bake for 20-30 min., till brown and bubbly. Top with jam, fresh fruit, lemon and powdered sugar, or syrup! pizza crust
1 TBS yeast
1/3 C sugar
2 C hot water
1/3 C oil
1 tsp salt
4-5 C flour (i use half wheat and half white)
combine yeast sugar and hot water and let sit for 5-10 min. add the salt and oil. add in the flour one cup at a time. knead the dough. roll out and prepare for a pizza. add whatever topping you want. we like BBQ chicken. mozzarella cheese is the best for pizzas. bake 450* for 12-15 minutes.
momma's clam chowder:
1 c chopped onion
1 c chopped celery
3-4 potatoes squared
2 (6.5) cans minced clams
1 stick butter
3/4 c flour
1 quart half and half
salt and pepper to taste
boil all the veggies in the clam juice (drain the juice out of the clams into the pot of veggies). add enough water to cover the veggies before boiling. boil until soft. at the same time, melt the butter in a separate pot and add the flour to the butter. stir with a fork and heat until bubbling. remove from heat and add the half and half. stir well until all the flour mixture has blended. return to medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning. stir on heat until thick. remove from heat. add veggies and clam water mixture. add clams. serve with bread and butter.. yum.
yummy pasta from kylie's mom:
1 pound of refrigerated ravioli or tortellini
4 cups of sugar snap peas
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 TBS butter
1 C whipping Cream
1/4 C fresh dill weed
2 TBS fresh parsley
1 tsp lemon pepper
1/2 tsp lemon zest
1/3 C finely shredded parmesan cheese
cook tortellini: follow directions on package.  during last 2 minutes of cooking, throw in sugar snap peas.  drain well.  in a skillet, cook onion in butter over medium heat for about 4-5 minutes. stir in whipping cream (do not whip). stir in all other ingredients except for cheese.  bring to boil.  reduce heat to medium low, cook for 2 min and wait for it to thicken. pour sauce over the pasta and peas and eat eat eat.
homemade oatmeal healthy treats:
1/3 c firmly packed brown sugar 1/4 c margarine or butter, softened 1/2 c all-purpose flour 1/2 c quick-cooking rolled oats 1/2 c grape-nut cereal 1/4 c caramel ice cream topping 1/4 c miniature chocolate chips
heat oven to 425*. line 8-inch square pan with foil; spray with nonstick cooking spray. in medium bowl, combine brown sugar and margarine; blend well. add flour, oats and cereal to sugar mixture; mix well. press into bottom of sprayed foil-lined pan. drizzle carmel topping on within 1/2 inch of edges. bake at 425 for 10 minutes or until edges are light golden brown. immediately sprinkle bars with chocolate chips; let stand 1 to 2 minutes to melt. spread melted chocolate chips evenly over bars; cool 5 minutes. remove bars from pan by carefully lifting out the foil from the pan. Cool in freezer for 15 minutes. cut into bars.     aunt barb's banana cake:
cream together
1 c softened butter
1 1/2 c sugar
add
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
mix then add
2 c flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
beat in with the rest of mixture
3 mashed over ripe bananas
3/4 cup sour cream
Add
1/4 to 1/2 cups milk to make the right consistency
bake 45 min at 350* degrees

1 1/4 c powder sugar
2 tablespoon chocolate powder unsweetened coco
2 tablepoons shortening
2 tablespoons milk
beat together
chocolate bunt cake from kailee:
1 yellow cake mix 1 sm box instant choco pudding 1/2 c sugar 3/4 c oil 3/4 c water 4 eggs 1 tsp vanilla 1 c sour cream 1 c choco chips stir all ingredients in by hand one at a time. spray and flour a bundt pan. bake at 350* for 50 minutes. 
glaze: 
1 c powder sugar dash salt 2 T milk 2 T corn syrup 1 square melted choco
similar lemon bunt cake 1 package yellow cake mix (betty crocker is best) 1 sm. package instant lemon pudding 4 eggs 2/3 cup oil 3/4 cup water mix all ingredients for 5 minutes. grease and flour bundt pan. bake at 375* for 32-34 min (haha, thats what it says, i do 33). the cake top should spring back to touch when done. turn onto plate to cool completely.
glaze  2 cups powdered sugar abt. 1/4 cup lemon juice add lemon juice to sugar while stirring. keep adding until it is a runny consistency. drizzle glaze completely over cake. cut. eat. enjoy!

yummy c chip cookies

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  3. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned. 

creamy echiladas

Ingredients

  • 1  tablespoon  butter or margarine
  • 1  medium onion, chopped
  • 1  (4.5-ounce) can chopped green chiles, drained
  • 1  (8-ounce) package cream cheese, cut up and softened
  • 3 1/2  cups  chopped cooked chicken breast
  • 8  (8-inch) flour tortillas
  • 2  (8-ounce) packages Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
  • 2  cups  whipping cream

Preparation

Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add onion, and saute 5 minutes. Add green chiles; saute 1 minute. Stir in cream cheese and chicken; cook, stirring constantly, until cream cheese melts. Spoon 2 to 3 tablespoons chicken mixture down center of each tortilla. Roll up tortillas, and place, seam side down, in a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle with Monterey Jack cheese, and drizzle with whipping cream. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes Yummy Dip (Cowboy Caviar) 1 can black eye pee's 1 can black beans 1 can white sweet corn 1 can great northern white beans(?) 4 medium tomatoes (diced) 1-2 avocados (chopped) 6 onions ( the small stick ones cut in thin pieces.) a little cilantro it's really good with Italian dressing mix in balsamic vinegar
