why i love byu

reason # 6359745:

yesterday byu's college of nursing had a professional conference.
the theme was 'be the difference'.
it was by far the best conference they have put on.
i am still on a high.

the morning started with an amazing talk by stephanie nielson.

she was so inspiring.
i left feeling determined to be a better nurse, a more loving wife, a devoted mother, and stronger person all around.

the conference ended with another moving talk by paul cardall.

i love love love the fact that byu is a religious university.
that classes start with a prayer.
that testimonies are borne at the end of a lecture.
that the spirit can be felt.
i love love love the fact that i am in a nursing program at a religious university.
that i am taught the healer's art.
that we start our clinical days praying for our patients.
that we are encouraged to treat more than just a disease, but a spirit of a Child of God.

Are you kidding me?!? The semester After I graduate they come out with a conference like THIS! That souds so amazing! I totally agree about being so lucky to study nursing when it is integrated with the gospel. I really wonder what it is like at other schools sometimes! These videos are great!

I so wish I would have been adiment about finishing at BYU. I left in Dec, right before I was to start my nursing program there, to get married. My hubby didn't want to stay in Utah! I would have loved it for the same reasons. I am glad I get to "live" it a little through you!
