an afternoon off

yesterday was the first tuesday in a long time that i didn't have to work. the afternoon was spent doing laundry and baking. i have been wanting to bake a cake to put on my new cake stand and finally had time to... tah dah! my first bundt cake:

pretty huh? okay, so i need to work on getting the lumps out of the glaze.. but i promise it tastes good, and it was really easy to make.

the recipe comes from a wonderful lady in my parents ward, sandy morgan:

lemon bundt cake
1 package yellow cake mix (betty crocker is best)
1 sm. package instant lemon pudding
4 eggs
2/3 cup oil
3/4 cup water
mix all ingredients for 5 minutes. grease and flour bundt pan (which i didn't do the best job at because the back side of these pictures has ugly spots where the cake stuck to my pan - so grease it up good). bake at 375 for 32-34 min (haha, thats what it says, i did 33) the cake top should spring back to touch when done. turn onto plate to cool completely.
glaze
2 cups powdered sugar
abt. 1/4 cup lemon juice
add lemon juice to sugar while stirring. keep adding until it is a runny consistency.
drizzle glaze completely over cake. cut. eat. enjoy!
