this past wednesday, i was lucky enough to have my first labor and delivery clinical... and
I LOVED IT!
seriously, one of the best days ever.
what a happy and fun place to work. what a sacred experience being there when those precious little ones entered this world - their spirits shining! and yikes, a woman's body is amazing. i came home telling josh about how proud i am to be a woman!
i am so grateful for that experience and can't wait to go back this week to share my birthday with a few new wee ones!

I'm so glad that you loved it! I remember seeing a delivery for the first time (on video which I'm sure is way different than seeing it live) and being shocked for a few seconds, but then almost crying because I thought it was so beautiful that I would get to bring a baby into this world. You have a beautiful heart :) How exciting!
I get to witness my first delivery in a month or two with the adoption agency I'm interning at and I'm excited.
And that's why I will never do anything but L&D! It's been 8+ years of awe, wonder, amazement, the spirit. Glad you got to experience it too! You would make a WONDERFUL L&D nurse too!
Go Whitney!! I loved my L&D clinicals too. I never thought while in school, I'd go into Women's Services, but 2 years post-school, that's where I was!
