a few highlights of our trip

our church history trip turned out great. we are so lucky to have been able to go and feel the spirit and hear the stories of the many sites. we took hundreds of pictures, but will not bore you with all of them. there are still some pictures i need to get from josh and my family that i will add later.

ok here we go:

day 1:
j and i's first plane ride together.

so i might have this hate/fear of flying and am proud to say i only broke down once, and j was really sweet about it. (i think i discovered the root of this fear, but will talk about that later.) this whole day was spent flying out to rochester, ny

day 2:
sacred grove.

we arrived early enough that it was still nice and cool.
there were so many birds, all singing and welcoming us.
we had lots of time to walk around and reflect. this truly is a sacred place.

smith family farm.

it was really neat to go inside the home of the smith family. it was small and simple.

this is the frame home they built but hardly got to live in.
to the right of it is a tree they planted in memory of alvin when he died.

palmyra temple.

hill cumorah pageant.

our day ended out on the grass at the hill cumorah watching a fun play about different book of mormon heros.
